2012 hasn’t been a charmed year for rapper Young Buck, late of 50 Cent’s G-Unit posse.

We discovered yesterday that the rapper had been kicked out of his Tennessee mansion for failing to pay c. $333,000 in back taxes. Earlier this year, 50 Cent’s legal muscle also filed a motion prohibiting Buck – who filed for bankruptcy in 2010 – from using any G-Unit sales to pay off his creditors. If that wasn’t enough, the grizzly-voiced Tennessee native narrowly escaped serious injury in a drive-by shooting back in March. In a strange inversion of events, Buck has now pleaded guilty on gun charges of his own.

Prefix report that Buck will serve 18 months on gun possession charges. Having already been convicted of felonies in the past, the rapper is prohibited from owning firearms. Despite the interdiction, Buck was caught with a .40 caliber Glock 22 in his mansion. A cautionary rags-to-riches-to-rags tale, indeed.

Despite his life falling apart, Buck’s last mixtape, Live Loyal Die Rich (ahem), was actually pretty good. Stream ’21 Up’ below.
