After some recent teasing, Urban Nerds have announced the lineup for their Carnival warmup party – and it’s a sizzler.

The party, taking place at London’s Scala on Saturday August 25, features some top-notch selectors. Hyperdub mailman 0…..Kode9 will be at the helm, spinning an assortment of forward thinking and bass-orientated future sounds. Joining him will be event host Breakage, who – aided and abetted by MC Wrec – will be showcasing his punchy, punishing brand of dubstep and drum’n’bass. He’s not the only dubstep old-hand on the bill: DMZ champs Mala & Coki will be teaming up to show upstart pretenders exactly how it’s done.

Numbers mainstay Jackmaster will also be appearing, reminding revellers why he’s one of the deft and diverse DJs operating on the scene today. Urban Nerds resident Marcus Nasty will be exploring the musclier ends of UK Funky, and the phenomenal Champion will also be keeping things simultaneously syncopated and hard-edged. The Heatwave will be adding a dancehall flavour to the carnival proceedings, and Hardrive man Terror Danjah will also be on board.

Other acts on the bill include Rattus Rattus, Ragga Twins, Uncle Dugs, Fonti & Bushkin, Sunship, White Tyson and Alruii. The night runs from 10.00pm until 6.00am. Tickets and full line-up information are available through the event’s Facebook page.
