Like technicolour floats and topless wide boys, the annual August Urban Nerds party has become something of a Notting Hill Carnival institution.

Previous acts have included Katy B, Toddla T, Congo Natty and MJ Cole, with venues ranging from cavernous warehouses to Brick Lane hothouses. The indomitable club brand have now announced the date for their latest Carnival Special.

The 2012 edition will take place on August 25 at London’s Scala. The bass-orientated line-up will be announced on Thursday June 7, but advance word suggests the event will feature the heftiest roster yet. Tickets and further information for the event are available from the Urban Nerds website.
