With Until The Quiet Comes getting every nearer, the FlyLo publicity machine appears to have whirred into action in earnest.

After some months of relative silence, the last fortnight has already brought interviews, vinyl reissues and a soupy giveaway track with Earl Sweatshirt. Yesterday evening, the Ellison machine continued to pump out product, with the the L.A. beatmaker releasing two new instrumentals online.

‘Lamented’, a squirming synth jam from the Los Angeles playbook, will be familiar to anyone who picked up Hodgy Beats’ great Untitled EP. Upload number two is a revised version of that Earl Sweatshirt number, ‘Between Friends’, newly augmented with Thundercat’s nimble bass extemporisations.

Until The Quiet Comes is due on October 2 on Warp. Thom Yorke and Erykah Badu are among the guests on the album.
