The Hydra, the many-headed event series from Broken & Uneven, will kick off with a night showcasing the best of Berlin’s formidable Ostgut Ton.

The Berghain offshoot has long been one of the beefier techno imprints around, and they’ve brought some proper firepower for their August 24 shindig at an undisclosed East London location. The ever uncompromising Marcel Dettmann will be repping Ostgut Ton, bringing his unfussy and intensely focused brand of techno to the table. He’ll be joined by homegrown hero Surgeon, whose DJ sets tend to dart all over the techno spectrum without losing intensity or focus.

Recent FACT TV subject Nick Höppner will be keeping an eye on proceedings, and exhibiting the sort of selection chops we saw put to great effect on the Panorama Bar 04. Marcel Fengler, renowned as one of the most precise techno DJs around, will be doing his carefully calibrated thing, and Prosumer will round out the bill. The night will also boast some special artwork from graffiti artist Pure Evil.
