Following the announcment earlier this morning of a new CUB 12″ by Karl O’Connor aka Regis, a new “mixtape” from the Downwards boss has appeared online.

Hidden Summer is available to listen to on Where Next?, the blog dedicated to Downwards, Sandwell District and related activities. Putting techno to one side and focussing instead on the kind of industrial, post-punk and drug-hazed pop that O’Connor has long been a noted champion of, Distant Summer features tracks by the likes of Current 93, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Rowland S. Howard, Epic Soundtracks and Death In June. A detail from the cover art is pictured above, and the tracklist posted below.
