Motormouth/bigmouth Azealia Banks appears to be moving in pop’s most elite circles.

The rapper made ripples earlier this week after taking umbrage at Dolce & Gabanna’s “racist” new fashion collection – and, to be honest, she had something of a point. Speaking to Brazil’s Mix TV, Banks has also revealed that she’s been working with some properly big-league collaborators.

Banks describes working with Lady Gaga on a pair of new tracks. The collaboration was carried out “from afar. We worked via email and via Internet. We have a song called ‘Red Flame’ and a song called ‘Ratchet,’ but I don’t know what she’s doing with it. She’s going to release it when she wants to release it.”

Unsurprisingly, given those G.O.O.D Music promo shots, Banks also revealed that she’s been collaborating with Kanye West: “Working with Kanye was a lot of fun. I just kind of went out to Hawaii for vacation, and he has a studio out there. And he was just like, ‘You should really come to the studio,’ so I went to the studio and just worked it out.”

The video is also available to watch below, and is worth checking out for 1. Banks’ distinctly faint praise for collaborator Paul Epworth 2. her hilarious exegesis of the lyrics of ‘212’.

Banks’ debut LP Broke With Expensive Taste will drop on February 12. Her recent Mermaid’s Ball mix is available here.
