Recently reconvened Ohio alt.hip-hop crew MHz legacy have hit up L.A. rapper Blu for their latest transmission.

Last month, the Def Jux staples, who number RJD2, Copywrite, Jakki Da Motamouth and Tage Future among their ranks, called on Danny Brown for the frazzled Spaceship. Where that track – a tribute to deceased member Camu Tao – kept things fairly downbeat, new joint ‘Yellow & Blue’ bounces along a treat. Featuring some The Munsters organ stabs and extravagant scratching, it manages to sound spooky and peppy at the same time.

MHz Legacy’s new, self-titled LP dropped yesterday on Man Bites Dog records. Oh No and Slug are among the guests on the LP. [via Hypetrak]
