Perhaps due to all that legal wrangling over his deceased brother’s will, Jermaine Jackson is apparently having something of an identity crisis.

NME report that Jackson is hoping to legally change his name to – wait for it – Jermaine Jacksun. Fairly subtle, then, but apparently necessary for “artistic reasons”.

Jacks[o/u]n associate Steve Dennis offered a somewhat opaque insight into the singer’s decision: “Phonetically, it changes nothing. It is something he has chosen to do, and it’s fair to say that you cannot blame this one on the boogie, you’ve got to blame it on the sunshine”. Jacks[o/u]n will find out whether the name change has been officially approved on February 22 2013.
