Aphotic London crew Old Apparatus have pulled apart the new single from Apollo’s Cloud Boat.

Cloud Boat, best known for 2011 R&S single ‘Lions On The Beach’, deal in the sort of furtive electronica being turned out by stablemates Vondelpark. If new single ‘Wanderlust’ flirts with shadow, Old Apparatus’ version plunges headlong into the dark, drowning the original in distortion and interpolating creaks, snarls, rattles and distant footsteps. Like much of the work released on Old Apparatus’ Sullen Tone imprint, the ‘Wanderlust’ remix grabs indiscriminately from dub, shoegaze and ambient, and the result is as unsettling as it is unclassifiable. Cloud Boats release the ‘Wanderlust’/’Drean’ single on March 4 on Apollo. They will also embark on a short UK tour, the dates of which are as follows:
