A rejuvenated D’Angelo is set to perform three rare shows in North America this year.

After last year’s jaw-dropping Bonnaroo performance with Questlove (handily documented here and here), the main thing fans have wanted to know is when the reclusive soul superstar would actually take the show on the road. Well the wait is over (sort of), and D’Angelo is set to play a handful of shows in North America: one in Boston at the House of Blues on May 26, one at Olympia Theatre in Montreal on May 30, one at Sound Academy in Toronto on May 31 and one at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay in San Diego on Aug 10.

It’s not much, we know, but it’s a start and who knows, if these shows go well he could be appearing near you any time soon.

Tickets are available soon from here. Update: Exclaim.ca adds a Montreal date to the list, but ticket information is not yet available on that one.
