A DC veteran delves into techno on the debut release under his PENTAMON guise.

PENTAMON finds a veteran of Washington, DC’s dance scene toying with techno — “the weirder and darker and heavier the better.” Earlier this year, we premiered PENTAMON’s ‘Among The Thugs’, a hooligan-indebted tribute to low-end tension.

Tomorrow, Teenage Riot Records (the label run by MSTRKRFT/DFA1979 member Jesse F. Keeler and Austin party-starter Bird Peterson) will release Pentamon’s debut single, ‘Nite’, a bass-heavy romp perfect for the peak hour. The single is rounded out by an international crew of remixers including France’s Dabeull, Germany’s Aaron Hedges, Italy’s Doc Trashz, and Canada’s St Mandrew. Stream the original mix below.
