Trap meets dancehall? Leave it to the Swedes.

With ‘Dedicated’, trans-continental three piece Jamtech have managed the unthinkable and blended a moody 808 Mafia-inspired trap instrumental with Jamaican reggae and dancehall superstar Bounty Killer’s unmistakable flow. It might not sound like a match made in heaven but it’s surprisingly successful, with Bounty’s chants sitting assuredly over the archetypal face-melting bass and finger-snaps. The producers also add in a few organ chords just to remind that they’re not totally divorced from Bounty’s Jamaican roots, but it’s hardly needed, ‘Dedicated’ is tough enough already.
