Quietly excellent Baltimore dream pop band Lower Dens are releasing a split 7″ for charity.

‘Non Grata’ is a severe cut of electronic gloom led by singer Jana Hunter’s inimitable low and husky voice, and fits neatly into the hazy oeuvre the band carved out on last year’s Nootropics album, which featured the immense single ‘Brains’.

The song is part of a split single with fellow Baltimoreans Horse Lords, who’ve provided a slab of labyrinthine instrumental rock titled ‘Bending to the Lash’.

The release is the latest from Famous Class’ Less Artists More Condos 7″ series. Digital proceeds will go towards the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1’s Save the Music. Go to Bandcamp to download both tracks or order them on 7″ vinyl. [via Spin]
