The pair behind ‘Crescendolls’ are to get their own, er, dolls.
The action figures have been crafted by Bandai and Japanese company S.H. Figuarts, with input and supervision from the duo. Here comes the science bit, courtesy of S.H. Figuarts:
“[The dolls were] crafted with meticulous attention to detail — [the] helmet area employs a shiny metallic finish and clear parts for enhanced realism…[and] advanced S.H. Figuarts articulation and seven sets of left/right interchangeable hand parts for recreation of dynamic posing.”
A warning to parents: the dolls will be sold separately, so those wanting the complete Bangalter/de Homem-Christo combo will have to shell out twice. The figures are expected to hit the shelves in November in Japan, with a full global release expected in late December. Still, we’re looking forward to acting out our own Daft Punk vs. Tiësto tabletop skirmishes. Head here and here to order/admire the dolls. [via Exclaim]
