Yoko Ono releases collaborative vinyl single with Wu Tang Clan's RZA

Yoko Ono has released a collaborative 10″ with Wu Tang rapper and producer RZA.

It’s not the first time the pair have worked together: in 2010, they collaborated for a live performance at Los Angeles’ Orpheum that featured both duets and a game of chess (they both, famously, love chess). This 10″ commemorates the event, featuring live recordings of two songs: ‘Seed of Joy / Life is a Struggle, and ‘Greenfield Morning I Pushed An Empty Baby Carriage All Over The City’, from the album Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band.

The 10″ will be released on one-sided vinyl, limited to 1,000 copies with an etching by Yoko on the B-side. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Staten Island’s Children’s Literary Society, which provides after-school enrichment programs for at-risk children. The record can be ordered here (vinyl) and here (digital).

Yoko Ono’s latest album, Take Me to the Land of Hell, will be released on September 17. Read up on it here.
