We can usually count on The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne to bring the weird, but this time he’s roped in some of his friends.

Best new pal Miley Cyrus (they did get tattoos together this weekend) and producer Moby are two faces that pop up in Coyne’s new video, which appears to accompany an experimental Flaming Lips track called ‘Blonde SuperFreak Steals the Magic Brain’.

You can probably guess that Cyrus plays the “blonde superfreak” in question, and Moby shows up as (in Coyne’s own words) “an evil, power-hungry cult leader,” who “wants the world’s most valuable (according to our story) psychedelic supernatural possession… John F. Kennedy’s brain….the brain contains the original formula for the drug LSD!!!”

It’s a fascinating watch, certainly, made all the more interesting by the fact that Cyrus recorded her contribution from the hospital bed. She was hospitalized earlier this year after an allergic reaction to antibiotics, but didn’t want to let Coyne and friends down, so played the part sick.
