Sun Kil Moon‘s Mark Kozelek has cemented his status as one of the world’s most grumpy performers with a fitting t-shirt.

Kozelek hit the headlines again this weekend after making derogatory remarks to an audience attending Hopscotch Festival in North Carolina. As they chattered away over Kozelek’s admittedly quiet, personal selection of songs (if you haven’t heard this year’s Benji you really should remedy that), he stopped everything to announce “all you fuckin’ hillbillies shut the fuck up.”

It’s not the first time Kozelek has been noted for striking out against a noisy audience – anyone who’s seen him perform over the last few decades no doubt has a story or two – but it’s easily his most high profile rant. It makes sense then that he should monetize his new-found notoriety, and he’s currently selling t-shirts emblazoned with this winning slogan on his own Caldo Verde site. Our appreciation for the moody crooner just went up even further.
