Bandmate marks the Broadcast singer’s birthday.
Trish Keenan would have turned 46 this week, and to mark the sad occasion her bandmate and partner James Cargirll has shared two demos from the recording of the band’s widely adored 2005 album Tender Buttons.
Hear early versions of ‘Goodbye Girls’ and ‘Tears In The Typing Pool’, both made in 2004, below. As Self-Titled Mag points out, perhaps the archival gems are a sign of a reissue campaign on the way? That would certainly be welcome.
Last year, Cargill spoke to FACT about Broadcast’s final project, a stunning score for Peter Strickland’s audiophile horror flick Berberian Sound Studio.
