Ellen Allien, Luke Slater and A Guy Called Gerald land at London's Koko this Christmas

BPitch boss leads a festive banger in London.

Christmas Day falls in a perfect mid-week slot this year, meaning those dull days leading up to New Year are actually on a weekend, thus offering even more opportunities to drink prosecco like your life depends on it.

The Playground have a solid festive spread lined up at Koko that Saturday night, led by long-reigning techno queen Ellen Allien with added tough stuff from Luke Slater in his Planetary Assault Systems guise, Motor City techno pioneers Octave One and Manchester’s acid original A Guy Called Gerald.

Also on hand are Russian DJ Dasha Rush, dark techno purveyor Raving George, London duo Autokratz and Manchester racket-makers D/R/U/G/S. The night takes place on December 27 at Koko in Camden, north London – grab tickets here.
