Marco Berardi’s music as Mogano feels as appropriate soundtracking a club as it does a very old temple. His new Sycomore EP, out today, could light up either with its spacious, smoldering soundscapes. Right from the opening string-haunted ‘Retama’, Berardi patiently slides from a dark humidity evoking Forest Swords to more traditional techno forms. The track ‘Anunnaki’ gets a murky inversion in Kerridge’s remix which acts a eerie centerpiece to the five track EP.
