Update 3: Ross has issued a second apology via Facebook.

“What I said and did was absolutely wrong. Regardless of my intention it came off incredibly homophobic, aggressive and absolutely ridiculous. That said, I am not a homophobe, i didn’t know Andrew was gay nor was it calculated in that manner ( doesn’t make it any better but still.). Reading everything I have read being compared to Ten Walls deeply saddens me. I’ve had a long time to think about what I have done. I’ve read every comment good and bad and I take everyones words into consideration. I have offended many and I am sorry. Truly sorry.”

Update 2: Ross has released an apology on Facebook.

“Anyone who knows me knows I have a creepy sense of humor. I apologize to those who have been offended but I have always supported the gay community and always will with all of my heart. Attacking someone verbally is absolutely wrong but I was not coming from a homophobic point of view. As far as the ass comment, I was speaking in general as I wasn’t thinking in any form of sexual preference.”

Update: Soul Clap has released a statement saying Tanner Ross has been dropped from Crew Love Barcelona where he was scheduled to perform tomorrow with Slow Hands. Read their tweet below.

“I was doing my dissertation at Fabric with Craig Richards before you came in someone’s ass”.

The producer Tanner Ross took to Twitter yesterday to send a series of homophobic messages towards a critic because he disagreed with his review of Jamie xx’s new album.

Resident Advisor’s North American editor Andrew Ryce recently gave a mixed review to In Colour which prompted Ross to harass him with a series of abusive tweets. The tweets were kept private until Ryce was told by Twitter that they did not meet their definition of abuse. He then posted them in the tweet you can see below.

The incident comes in the wake of Ten Walls’ recent homophobic rant, which led to him being dropped from multiple festivals.
