Julia Holter has been hired for her first major film project.

The Californian singer-songwriter, who recently spoke to FACT about her latest album Have You In My Wilderness, will score a forthcoming boxing drama written and directed by Ben Younger.

Bleed For This stars Miles Teller, best known for playing the intense young jazz drummer in Whiplash, as boxer Vinny Pazienza, with Aaron Eckhart as his trainer Kevin Rooney.

Katey Sagal, Amanda Clayton and Ciaran Hinds also appear in the film, which follows Pazienza’s journey to recovery after a car crash leaves him with a broken neck. Martin Scorsese is the executive producer, according to Film Music Reporter.
