A glimpse into a unique project.

The next archival curio to be given a second life on RVNG Intl. is Breadwoman & Other Tales, a relic of the 1980s LA underground pairing performance artist Anna Homler with musician Steve Moshier.

To mark the album’s reissue this week, the label has unveiled an equally mysterious documentary. Directed by Hazel Hill McCarthy III & Douglas McCarthy, Breadwoman Tales & Trails traces the connections between Homler the performance artist and Breadwoman, her doughy alien alter-ego who sings in a found language.

Viewers in Germany can watch the film on Vimeo.
