LP9 gets the thumbs-up from the man behind their artwork.

Long-time Radiohead collaborator Stanley Donwood has described the band’s new album as “a work of art,” but revealed there’s still work to be done on the record.

Asked by DIY if he had heard the new LP, their first since 2011’s The King Of Limbs, and if it was complete, Donwood said: “I have. Is it done? Not yet…”

Donwood also confirmed he’s currently creating the artwork to the album, saying “there’s quite a lot I still have to do” on the sleeve and teasing it’s his favourite work so far for Thom Yorke’s group. “It was made by the strong warm winds of southern France.”

Donwood is famous for creating all of Radiohead’s album and poster art since their 1994 single ‘My Iron Lung.’

In other Radiohead news, on Friday (March 18) frontman Thom Yorke was “fucked off” after thousands of fans were left struggling to buy tickets for the band’s upcoming tour dates.

The band will embark on a small international tour in May, including three nights at London’s Roundhouse venue.
