A much-needed copy and paste function is top of the list of improvements.

Ableton has released version 9.6.2 of Live, and while only an incremental upgrade, includes several new features that will be welcomed by owners of the new Push controller.

The biggest improvement is the ability to copy and paste clips using the controller pads themselves, something that previously had to be done with the traditional mouse and keyboard.

Another key feature is the ability to change note length using the Push pads. This works with both the melodic sequencer and drum rack.

Along with these new features, Live 9.6.2 comes with a long list of bug fixes and general improvements, including stabilising Push’s potentiometers to reduce jitter. Live owners can download the update free and find out more information at the Ableton website.
