The video teases a live light show.

Rumors about Daft Punk returning to tour for the first time in a decade have reignited following the discovery of a video on YouTube.

The video, titled ‘ALIVE 2017’ (Daft Punk’s previous live albums are called Alive 1997 and Alive 2007), was flagged up by a Reddit user yesterday and is accompanied by large a block of code, which fans are suggesting could be GPS co-ordinates for tour dates.

However, as one YouTube user points out, if the numbers were in fact GPS locations, “the first one would be in a desert in Chad.”

Rumors about the tour first began circulating in September after one Reddit user discovered a dedicated Daft Punk page on the Lollapalooza website, at the same time prompting fans to consider the possibility of a Glastonbury headline spot for the French duo.

The following month, a website supposedly teasing Daft Punk’s first live dates in 10 years surfaced, containing source code that Reddit users claimed were coordinates for dates in Paris, Los Angeles, London, New York, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Ibiza and Indio, California.

However, as none of the earlier rumours were ever substantiated, we’re not holding our breath that this latest batch of internet detective work has actually uncovered anything real.
