FACT gets up close with the versatile new Pocket Operator drum machine.
Teenage Engineering’s new PO-32 Tonic drum synth is another of its calculator-sized Pocket Operators with a difference: it’s capable of letting you upload different sounds from your computer via Sonic Charge’s Microtonic drum machine VST.
FACT spoke to Sonic Charge’s Magnus Lidström at this week’s NAMM show in California for a close up demonstration of the tiny device and how its data transfer function works via the built-in microphone.
Teenage Engineering’s PO-32 Tonic is released in April for $89. Find out more at the Teenage Engineering website and look out for more of FACT’s coverage from NAMM 2017 this week.
