Richie Hawtin is set to unveil a new audiovisual show called Close – Spontaneity & Synchronicity at next’s month Coachella.
The 75-minute show promises to bridge the gap between DJing and live performance, with real-time visual abstractions of Hawtin and his gear – recorded using “intimately placed cameras” – projected onto large screens.
Following his performance at Coachella, Hawtin will bring Close — Spontaneity and Synchronicity to Detroit’s Movement Festival, the Sydney Opera House, Portugal’s Primavera Sound and Creamfields, as well as playing several other European festival dates.
