Put together by international charity organization Moringa, St. John Sessions is a series of exploratory musical events due to land at London church St. John at Hackney.

Split into four events and kicking off on June 27, the first night features rarely-seen loop manipulator William Basinski, Touch’s sublime noise pioneer Fennesz and local PAN alum Helm. On July 11, Berlin-based pianist Nils Frahm will be supported by The Portico Quartet’s Jack Wylie. For the third event on August 29 very little has been revealed, but that’s hardly surprising given that international man of mystery Actress is headlining, and the series hits its fourth show on September 19 with Tim Hecker, Pete Swanson and Tri-Angle’s Vessel.

More events are due to be announced soon so watch this space, from what we hear on the rumour mill the next one should be worth the wait.
