The mouthy Mancunian is releasing a live DVD to mark 25 years as a solo star.

25:Live will include footage of Morrissey’s concert at the Hollywood High School in Los Angeles last March.

It’s not yet known which songs will be included on the DVD, but the setlist from the performance includes solo hits like ‘Irish Blood, English Heart’ and ‘November Spawned A Monster’ as well as Smiths classics such as ‘Still Ill’, ‘That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore’ and ‘Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want’.

Earlier this year Morrissey was diagnosed with double pneumonia and advised to retire from music, but with a string of dates in South America coming up it looks like he’s rejected his doctor’s orders. Rare footage of a 1988 Smiths gig emerged recently – watch here.

25:Live will be released through Eagle-Vision in August. [via Exclaim]
