The Red Bull Music Academy Sound System is set to drop into three lucky UK cities this year, and show us why bass still matters.

Armed with a speaker setup that has to be heard to be believed, the RBMA Sound System will fittingly be visiting the UK’s bass capital – Bristol – first, and on Saturday July 5 at St. Paul’s Carnival will be presenting a mammoth show with Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B, Redlight b2b Toddla T, Jus Now, DJ Krust, My Nu Leng, New York Transit Authority, Débruit and Gotsome.

Later in the month, on July 19 at Manchester Carnival, the Sound System will be bringing along DJ Hype (who is preparing a special carnival set), Murkage, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Poirier, Levelz, Chimpo, Sama Roots and more.

Finally, the RBMA crew will be closing the carnival season with an appearance at London’s Notting Hill Carnival, and while the details are top secret right now, we reckon if you’re around on August 25, you should probably stop by.
