Clubbing institution lends its name to its own venue.

Bloc found its ideal home in the wilds of east London last year, bedding down in Hackney Wick’s Autumn Street Studios after an annus horribilis which saw their flagship festival in London closed after one night and the business forced into administration.

Tucked away next to the canal with a grand view across to the Olympic Stadium, the no-frills venue has hosted tons of quality nights over the past couple of years, from Carl Craig all-nighters to disco visitations from Todd Terje, and now the promoters have confirmed their dedication to the spot by renaming it simply as Bloc.

This weekend the freshly christened Bloc hosts a Halloween party headlined by Actress with support from TR\\ER, Truss, Tessela and Rubin. Next year Bloc returns to Butlins in Minehead for a weekender with Jeff Mills, Hudson Mohawke, Hessle Audio and more.
