Austria's donaufestival lines up Godspeed You!, Autechre, Nils Frahm and more for 2015

Austria’s donaufestival returns in 2015 with a line-up already fit to burst with highlights.

Taking place over two weekends in April and May, the festival will see performances from Montreal post-rock deities Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Warp pioneers Autechre, classical-meets-electronic composer Nils Frahm and the ethereal Grouper.

Ben Frost, James Holden, Carter Tutti Void, Ryoji Ikeda and Holly Herndon are some of the other names on the bill, all exploring the outer margins of electronics.

Opal Tapes and Touch will offer label showcases, plus there’ll be an interactive performance-installation by Rimini Protokoll, ‘actionist interventions’ by Reverend Billy and an immersive video installation from Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist.

Next year’s festival takes place on April 24-26 and then April 30 to May 2. Weekend passes are available now at the bargainous early bird price of €72.
