The record compiles recent commissioned pieces Loptain has performed over the last year.

In what could end up becoming a exciting recurring series Daniel Lopatin, better known as Oneohtrix Point Never, has announced a follow-up to last year’s Commissions compilation. The second edition contains a pair of pieces including ‘Bullet Hell Abstraction’, which is inspired by Japanese video games and their soundtracks, specifically the music of Manabu Namiki. The second side of the record contains ‘Suite From Bagnetic Rose’ which is made from excerpts of Lopatin’s recent rescoring of the anime film Magnetic Rose. The compilation will be available via Warp on Record Store Day.

What’s even more exciting than that however is the brief message from OPN’s website dated February 8. It reads ‘LATER! ITS RECORD MAKING TIME’ which could point to a follow-up to R Plus Seven, or perhaps it alludes to the new album from Antony, which he produced. Take a look at the message here and check out the artwork for Commissions II below.
