Singer promises new music, world tour and movement.

Janet Jackson took to Twitter during Friday night to officially announce that she will return with a new album this year.

The announcement came in the form of a short video that hints at new music, a world tour and a new movement before closing with a call to “keep the conversation going.” The tweet came with the hashtag #conversationsinacafe which has been used by her official website before.

The news comes just a week after a photo of a distributor’s list of upcoming releases hinted that Jackson would have a new, yet untitled, album out in July.
