LA’s Debut Orchestra of the Young Musicians Foundation is currently prepping new concert The Great Music Series and they’ve called the first instalment Yeethoven.

The clue’s in the portmanteau. A mash-up of classic Beethoven works vs tracks from Kanye West’s 2013 opus Yeezus, the first glimpse sees Fifth Symphony blended with ‘Blood on the Leaves’. Watch it below.

Conductor and co-curator Yuga Cohler said: “Both musicians’ willingness to ruthlessly abandon tradition, and their influence on that larger culture can’t be overstated.”

The Debut Orchestra will perform Yeethoven on April 16 at the Aratani Theatre in Los Angeles.
