A body turns into a garden in this somber clip.

Brooklyn-via-North Carolina experimental cellist Kelsey Lu has released an equally avant-garde video for her song ‘Empathy’. The track comes from her debut EP Church which is out today (July 8) via True Panther.

The EP takes its name from the unique process in which it was made. Back in January, Lu recorded the collection at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, where she performed for a tiny audience of friends and family with just her cello, voice and loop pedal and recorded it live.

Lu also collaborated with Dev Hynes on tracks ‘Chance’ and ‘Better Numb’ on the recently released Blood Orange album Freetown Sound.
