On July 30, Jack White successfully completed his mission to play the first vinyl record in space.

John Boswell and Carl Sagan’s ‘A Glorious Dawn’ was placed onto a custom “space-proof” turntable called the Icarus Craft and taken to a height of 94,413 feet by a high-altitude balloon.

The craft was in the air for 80 minutes before the balloon burst, with the turntable still spinning as it made its descent towards Idaho. Watch how the mission unfolded above.
