You may not recognise him by name, but you’ll definitely know his former band of New York dancefloor fiends, The Rapture, whose cowbell-heavy indie featured the bass, keys and sax talents of Andruzzi.

Earlier this month, the multi-instrumentalist teamed up with fellow New Yorker Willie Burns to release Moon Temple 1 and 2, his first nine track LP. ‘The Short Dance’, which features on the release, was the first track he wrote for the project, and now has a video.

“The idea was to create a video that was a contrast to the track but that still mimicked its intensity,” Natalia Stuyk told us via email. “We kept it deliberately minimal and stark. The dancer (Rosie Terry) improvised the whole thing creating a fluid backbone to the track, which I then cut into and edited closely to the different sounds.”
