This will be the fourth Anderson film the Radiohead guitarist has now scored.
Jonny Greenwood will provide the score for a new Paul Thomas Anderson film, Focus Features announced on Wednesday, while confirming that production on the film is already underway.
As The Playlist reports, the movie is “a drama set in the couture world of 1950s London,” which focuses on the life of “an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society.”
The as-yet-entitled film, which stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Mike Leigh favourite Lesley Manville, is due out later this year.
Anderson and Greenwood have previously worked together on three film scores – 2007’s There Will Be Blood, 2012’s The Master and 2014’s Inherent Vice.
In 2015, Anderson made a documentary about the Radiohead guitarist’s collaboration with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur, titled Junun, which the New York Film Festival called “a lovely impressionistic mosaic and a one-of-a-kind sonic experience.”
Anderson also directed three videos for Radiohead’s last album A Moon Shaped Pool – ‘Daydreaming’, ‘Present Tense’ and ‘The Numbers.’
