Out of the Emeralds camp, Steve Hauschildt’s solo work is typically the most conventionally pop-orientated.

The synth player is gearing up to drop Sequitur his third solo LP proper, and his second for ambient standard bearers Kranky. Described as an extension of last year’s dreamy Tragedy & Geometry, the album promises a collection of analogue excursions and vocoder-led synth fantasias.

In contrast to the title, ‘Interconnected’ sounds like it’s floating adrift. Arpeggiators whirr, OPN pads hang in the background, and there’s some Far Side Virtual-esque percussion programming to boot. The track also comes with the requisite no-budget CGI video, which goes heavy on the lilac. [via Pitchfork]

Sequitur will arrive on November 12.
