They were influential members of the art punk scene back in the early ’80s, but slipped into relative obscurity over the intervening years, releasing just a handful of records – including last year’s Peace, Love & Alienation EP.

Now, according to Adhoc, Burger Records are reissuing Devolver, a 27-track compilation LP of The Prefab Messiahs’ earliest recordings that was first released in 1998, 15 years after the group originally disbanded.
