Now you can become a rock legend straight from your iPhone.

FreshPlanet – the creator of hit app SongPop – has just released a new game for iOS that allows you to live out your rock star fantasies.

Just like SongPop, Rock On challenges you to identify your favourite songs from clips of actual recordings.  This time round however, you’ll be scoring points as you journey through a series of wild concerts and after-parties, testing your knowledge of classic rock, heavy metal, punk rock, indie rock and more.

The game features over 80 levels and different play modes, including quickfire challenges, sudden death rounds and more. If you’re feeling competitive, Rock On also lets you track the progress of your friends on Facebook and display your own achievements as you journey towards becoming a “rock legend”.

Rock On is free to download for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and is available now from the App Store.
