Last year Surgeon attempted to #breaktheinternet by opening for Lady Gaga in Paris.
The Brummie techno hero joined Gaga’s regular support act Lady Starlight for an uncompromising hardware set in front of thousands of unsuspecting pop fans which must be seen to be believed. Surgeon later called his new collaborator “the techno sister that I was separated from at birth”.
Next month the duo will repeat the trick with their first performance in the UK, presenting a brand new live techno show at Rinse FM’s Ministry of Sound takeover. Perc, Sigha, Lee Gamble and Objekt join them in Room 1 for the Bank Holiday Sunday party, which takes place on May 24 from 10pm to 6am. Get tickets from Rinse and RA.
Meanwhile, three of Surgeon’s seminal late-90s records are being reissued by Tresor.
