The Chicago house label will revisit the classics on a forthcoming vinyl compilation.

DJ International has announced a 3LP vinyl set featuring classic house tracks from Frankie Knuckles, ESP, Marshall Jefferson and more, RA reports.

The Sound Of DJ International/Underground is released on September 18 and features tracks originally featured on DJ International and its Underground sub-label including Knuckles’ ‘Only The Strong Survive’, ESP’s classic ‘It’s You’ and Chip E’s ‘It’s Time To Jack’.

The label was launched by Rocky Jones in 1985, and was based across the street from The Warehouse, the Chicago club known as the birthplace of house music. The label shut its doors in the early 90s, but has since relaunched with Jones at the helm.
