Sarah Fawkes has had quite a year.

The France-based musician recently dropped her new Vesuval EP, delivered a stunning collaboration with Jlin for Planet Mu’s new 20th anniversary compilation and she’s still not finished. There’s a singularity to Fawkes which shines brightest in the video work she creates herself. Take for instance the “obscure haunted fantasy” of Vesuval opener ‘Funeral’ where vibrantly colorful shapes dissolve through darkness only to focus into Fawkes herself. The constant shift between form and formlessness only fits the track’s otherworldly vocals and vaporous production.
