The mystery begins.

Elusive UK producer Jai Paul and his brother A.K. Paul have formed a new project called Paul Institute.

Pitchfork has confirmed that a new website is indeed the work of the siblings. On the site in question you are asked to input your mobile phone number to sign up for a ‘Unique Paul Institute ID’ and receive updates. What the form the collaboration will take on we do not know yet.

In April 2013 an album purporting to be Jai Paul’s debut leaked on Bandcamp but was swiftly disowned by his label XL, who declared it “a collection of various unfinished recordings from Jai’s past.”

The last Jai Paul-related thing we heard was back in June 2014 when XL’s in-house producer Rodaidh McDonald said he was working with Jai Paul on his long-awaited debut album, but wasn’t confident that it would appear anytime soon.
