Red Bull Music Academy a new mini-doc about Disco Demolition Night, a Chicago White Sox event where people were invited to bring disco records to be blown up in centerfield in the middle of a double-header against the Detroit Tigers.

The event caused a larger culture war than just a beer-fueled, sports rage-enabled stunt. The homophobic and racist undertones of the “disco sucks” movement finally had a larger light shone on it and the new doc highlights the musical shifts and bigger racial divide that happens in the event’s wake.
