Regular FACT readers may have noticed that occasionally, to accompany a large feature or list, the author has provided a mix summarizing the article in handy-to-absorb MP3 format. Well, we’ve decided to flesh this out into a series.
Episodes of FACT Focus hone in on on a specific artist, label, scene or sound. The mixes aren’t weekly, but they’ll always go the extra mile in terms of highlighting hidden classics and mapping-out specific eras or sounds.
This very special Halloween episode has been lovingly put together by FACT’s very own horror nerd in residence John Twells. Fusing two obsessions – horror movies and rap – he has pulled together a wide selection of rap tracks that sample horror themes. Sure, you’ve no doubt heard the Psycho theme used a few times and Halloween has long been a rap staple, but there are some deliriously deep cuts in here.
